Dear Local 714 Brothers and Sisters, 

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME, Council 4, LOCAL  714) will offer $750.00 scholarships to encourage continued education and learning to those  who attend an accredited 2-year or 4-year college or technical/trade school. 

Who Can Apply: High school seniors who are the children of parents, legal guardians, or  grandparents who are dues paying members of AFSCME Council 4, Local 714.  

Eligibility Criteria: parent, legal guardian, or grandparent must be an active , verifiable “dues”  paying member in good standing 

Application Process:  

1) Applicants must complete the scholarship application form. The application will not be  considered if not fully completed. All requested documentation must be provided. 

2) Applicants need to submit a 200-500 word essay.  

Applications must be submitted by May 31, 2023
